Jordan Gotchy is a musician, composer, tenor, and teacher in Reno, NV. He has been involved in choir since an early age and has always had an interest in writing his own music. This blossomed at Eastern Oregon University, where he wrote his first pieces in chamber music drawing inspiration from Vaughan Williams, Schubert, and Faure.

He has composed several chamber vocal works for both solo, small ensemble, and larger choirs. These include “Water Dance” for SATB choir and percussion and a song cycle of his favorite Edgar Allan Poe poems in Dreams of an Evening Star for baritone and piano. His instrumental music includes Piano Quartet in D Major and “Time and Understanding” for Orchestra.

Jordan earned his Master's Degree in Music Composition from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Berklee College of Music. He currently teaches middle school choir in Reno, NV.
